Jeff Maggio completed the Baton Roughe marathon to raise money and awareness for esophageal cancer in honor of his Dad, Rob Maggio, who lost his battle with this disease on October 31,2010 at the age of 61. He lived only one month after he was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. The terrible thing about this disease is that usually by the time it is diagnosed it is already at stage 3.
