Surgery Improves Survival in Esophageal Cancer

Surgery after chemoradiotherapyâ€”which is the standard of care in advanced esophageal cancerâ€”increased overall and disease-free survival compared with chemoradiotherapy alone, according to the results of a study presented at the 2013 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco.
