Welcoming New Board Members: Driving Early Detection Forward

The Esophageal Cancer Education Foundation (ECEF) proudly announces that Donna Whitig and Daniel Reilly have joined our Board of Directors. Their experience, dedication, and personal commitment to our mission strengthen our ongoing work to educate the public and medical communities, support patients and families affected by esophageal cancer, and advance research toward developing an early-warning test for this devastating disease.

“We are thrilled to welcome Donna and Dan to the ECEF Board,” said Bart Frazzitta, Founder and President of ECEF. “Each brings exceptional professional expertise and a deep personal connection to our mission. Their insight and energy will help us strengthen our programs, expand awareness, and bring us closer to our ultimate goal — early detection and prevention of esophageal cancer.”

Daniel Reilly is a financial executive, cancer survivor, and passionate advocate for early cancer detection. A longtime supporter of esophageal cancer research initiatives, Dan works to advance screening practices and patient care. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in banking and a background in marketing and management, he combines professional excellence with a personal mission to improve outcomes for others. Dan lives in Huntersville, North Carolina, with his family.

Donna Whitig is a certified Project Management Professional with more than a decade of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem. She helps nonprofit organizations, associations, and higher education institutions achieve their missions through strategic, scalable technology solutions. A recognized leader in the Salesforce community, Donna serves as a user group leader and participates in several committees that promote collaboration and growth across the ecosystem.
