Two of MSKCC projects anticipated receiving grants from the National Cancer Institute, but because of recent government cuts, the money thought to be available for research projects has dwindled, and ECEF needs to keep these projects active to achieve the goals that have been set.
ECEF provided the seed money for both the MSKCC projects to get started. Â All proceeds from the Gala will go to these two research projects.
