ECEF History
The Foundation was formed in 2003 by Bart and Ginny Frazzitta. The purpose of the Foundation at the outset was to fund the production of the Esophageal Cancer CD ROM. After completing the $75,000 fund raising effort, we decided to take the foundation to the next level.
With the help of Dominic Carone, we created this web site and have dedicated it to the memory of Dominic who lost his battle with this disease in 2004.
The Foundation received its 501(c) (3) IRS designation as a charitable organization and therefore making the donations that it receives fully tax deductible to the donor.
Effective with our 2011 Financial Statements, a CPA firm located in New York City will certify our Financials each year.
