During Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month, we’re focused on what patients need most right now—real support, practical guidance, and access to experts who understand the journey.

That’s why the Esophageal Cancer Education Foundation (ECEF) is continuing our ECEF Nourish to Flourish: Esophageal Cancer Nutrition Series.

On Wednesday, April 29 at 7 PM (EST) 4 PM PST, we’re hosting a live Zoom session designed for patients and caregivers navigating treatment and recovery. The session will be moderated by Dan Reilly, an ECEF board member and Stage 3 esophageal cancer survivor, who brings both lived experience and perspective to the conversation. He’ll be joined by Anzonette Pittet, RD, CSO of Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California, an oncology nutrition specialist who has led survivorship programs focused on building strength and long-term health through targeted nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Nutrition plays a critical role in recovery. Yet many patients struggle with weight loss, difficulty swallowing, and knowing what to eat. This session focuses on practical strategies that help patients maintain strength and manage these challenges day to day.

You’ll hear directly from a dietitian and have the opportunity to ask questions in advance so the discussion is tailored to real needs.

This program is part of our broader commitment to support patients beyond diagnosis. We provide education, resources, and community—at no cost to those who need it.

If you’re able, please consider making a donation this month. Your support helps us continue programs like this and expand access to patients and caregivers who rely on ECEF.
