To bring awareness and educate the public and medical community about this dreaded disease.
We have taken the position that by enhancing our social network affiliations we will accomplish a segment of this goal. We currently post esophageal cancer articles to this web site and those articles are posted to our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
We have developed a You Tube Channel that contains patient and caregiver and doctor videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDkh7_H9BOnNASdmG4pdF0g
We have also begun an Instagram account and are looking to develop our Linkedin account as well.
To walk the journey with patients who have this disease.
From January 1, 2002 to the present we have spoken to, in excess of 1,100 patients who have been diagnosed with this disease. We are working with the General Thoracic Surgical Club and the  Society of Thoracic surgeons to show surgeons the services we provide patients and their caregivers in the hope that they will inform their post surgery patients how ECEF can be of help in their recover process
We have published a book called Esophagectomy, Post Surgical Guide, Questions & Answers that can be purchased through Authorhouse the publishing company or through this web site.
To financially support research projects that focus on the development of an early warning test for this disease.
We have made Grants to institutions that are performing research projects that will lead to an early detection of this disease.  Since 95% of the donations we receive go to research projects  you will be able to see the  Institutions we have supported by going to the “Donations at Work” on this web site.
