In order to get a more defined involvement, we have asked our Medical Professional to select a subcommittee that they want to volunteer for, and we have placed their names under that respective subcommittee. To see their contact information click on their name in the listing above.
Research Project Review Sub Committee:
This subcommittee will be responsible for the review and recommendation of research project requests that ECEF receives seeking a grant from ECEF. Once we have identified and accepted a research project proposal we will stay with that project until it is finalized. We will plan on looking at 2 or 3 projects per year as donations allow.

Patient and Caregiver Services Sub Committee:
This subcommittee will be responsible for reviewing the patient and caregiver services that ECEF provides, and will make recommendations as to the services we should develop to assist the patient and caregivers as they journey through this disease.
One project that this Sub Committee will take on is providing answers to questions we develop for our Second Edition of the book Esophagectomy Post Surgical Guide Questions & Answers.

Public Relations Sub Committee:
This subcommittee members will be responsible for attending one can attend one or more meetings during the year. . There will be two meetings of post surgery patients and caregivers The doctors in this Subcommittee will not be asked to give a presentation but simply respond to patient questions during the meeting that deal with issues that patients are experiencing.

Social Networks Sub Committee:
We are in the early stages of developing our You Tube Channel and Social network connections. We believe that this is the wave of the future for communications with patients, caregivers and medical service providers. We will look for this subcommittee to get doctors to do a brief 2 minute phone video about Esophageal Cancer topics, to be posted to our You Tube Channel and also posted in our Instagram account.
