Heartburn medication risks: Some could shorten lifespan

A recent study examining the health of over three million United States citizens has found that using a certain class of gastric reflux (hearburn) medication and proton pump inhibitors (PPI), can lead to an earlier death. This research review also found that the longer a PPI medication is taken, the greater the risk of earlier death is.
