INSIGHTS into the WORLD / Improving ways to detect deadly cancers

In October 2016, the Japanese Cancer Association and the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology held their respective annual meetings. It is noticeable that, on top of cancer researchers and doctors, many representatives of organizations for cancer patients and family members were present. The attendance of the latter is an indication that efforts by research and medical professionals to tackle cancer are increasingly relevant to society.
