Midland man enjoys family, friends, food after beating esophageal cancer

It had been weeks since Tony Dascoli ate anything solid. Six weeks of tube feedings left him ready for a real meal.
Stage 4 esophageal cancer had cost him two-thirds of his esophagus and two-thirds of his stomach. When doctors told him he could try solid foods, the self-described food-lover didn’t sit down to a four-course meal or his favorite Italian pasta.
No, he headed straight for the golden arches.
